SRINAGAR: There are only 84 operational ventilators in the Jammu region as the hospitals lack the skilled staff to operate the infrastructure they possess, Satish Mahaldar, who runs Reconciliation Return and Rehabilitation of Migrants has revealed.
Kashmir University Lost Another Teacher To Covid19
SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir lost another young teacher, Dr Mustahason Farooq Fazili, 55.
Fazli was teaching Zoology at the University of Kashmir. Basically from Bandipore, he was living in Gulbarg Colony in uptown Srinagar. He was an associate professor. He served the university for around 18 years, family sources said.
Dr Mustahson Farooq Fazli, an Associate Professor in Zoology at the University of Kashmir died of Covid19 after losing his battle against contagion after a month.
Family sources said that Fazli contracted Covid19 and it spread to three families within the relations. All of his relatives managed to fight the contagion but he somehow landed in some complicacy. He remained on a ventilator for a fortnight and lost his battle today. He actually was inflicted by Covid19, more than a month back and the complicacy came almost a fortnight after the infection.
SRINAGAR: Dr Lenah Bashir, a young Microbiology lecturer at GMC has said her department is helping physicians in the diagnosis of the Covid19 through testing the samples.
SRINAGAR: The last 24 hours witnessed the highest ever number of deaths taking places in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 73 deaths took place overnight taking the death toll to 3222. Kashmir lost 19 citizens and Jammu 54 in the last 24 hours.
SRINAGAR: The seven oxygen plants that were stuck in Germany were finally flown to Srinagar by the Indian Air Force. These were part of the purchase that Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) Kashmir had made earlier and owing to lockdown were stuck at Frankfurt.
