JOHNSTOWN A Broadalbin sex offender is going back to jail after failing to verify his address with authorities.
Percy Allen, 45, formerly of Fremont Street in Gloversville, pleaded guilty Jan. 11 in Fulton County Court before Judge Polly A. Hoye. He pleaded guilty as part of a plea arrangement to felony failure to verify address within 90 days as a Level 3 sex offender. He currently lives in Broadalbin.
Sentencing was adjourned until a later date, but he is expected to receive one year in the Fulton County Correctional Facility.
Gloversville police arrested Allen at 4:15 pm. on Nov. 4, 2020. At that time he was charged with failure to register a change of address as a sex offender by city police. At the time, police said that Allen failed to report a change of address within 10 days between Oct. 19 and 29, 2020 as required under the state Sex Offender Registration Act.
