Gloversville man convicted on felony counts | News, Sports, Jobs

manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN A Gloversville man convicted of two felony burglary counts is expected to receive up to eight years in state prison when he is sentenced. Nathaniel Coty, 39, of 11 Allen St., pleaded guilty March 2 before County Court Judge Michael W. Smrtic to two counts of third-degree burglary, as part of a plea arrangement. Sentencing was adjourned until a later date, but he is slated to receive 1 1/3 to four years in state prison on each count, to run consecutively. The court disposition satisfies a case in which Coty was arrested twice Oct. 28, 2020 and Jan. 10, 2021. Coty was arrested Oct. 28 by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, charged with four felony counts of third-degree burglary, four felony counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and three misdemeanor petit larceny counts.

manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN One of two men arrested in spring 2020 for a burglary that resulted in the theft of firearms is looking at up to five years in state prison. Timothy C. Belden, 32, of 121 N. Second St., Northville, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 in Fulton County Court before Judge Polly A. Hoye to one felony count of third-degree burglary, as part of a plea arrangement. Sentencing was adjourned until a later date, but Belden is expected to receive 2 1/2 to five years in state prison as a second felony offender. He also faces possible restitution, and an order or protection would be granted for his victim.
