The Karnataka Slum Development Board floated a tender on March 20, 2013, inviting bidders for the construction of 900 dwelling units (G+4) including infrastructure works at Sulikunte at an estimated cost of Rs 4,978.56 lakh and the construction of the flats was supposed to be completed in 18 months. However, the contractor assigned to the construction did not complete the construction as per the deadline.
