Mangaluru: Students and teaching faculty expressed dissent over the new exam timings proposed by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board.
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) on Tuesday said the revised examination system will rename "supplementary examination" as "annual examination 1, 2, and 3", providing three opportunities to the students, as it takes into consideration the varying pace of learning among students.
Although Bhaskar managed to clear his 10th grade exam in 1985, even after 36 years, he is still making efforts to clear the English exam in his second year of PU.
Gopalakrishna HN, director (exams) of KSEAB, said, “The overwhelming number of registrations for the second supplementary exam is truly heartening. We are fully committed to conducting these exams efficiently. To facilitate the preparation process, we have already provided model question papers.” In the first supplementary exams, approximately 1.6 lakh students participated. However, this innovative approach has sparked concerns among faculty members.
