Registering a steep spike, Karnataka on Thursday reported 47,754 new cases of COVID-19, and 29 fatalities, taking the tally to 33,76,953 and the death toll to 38,515.
Registering yet another spike in numbers, Karnataka on Saturday logged 32,793 new cases of COVID-19, and seven fatalities, taking the tally to 31,86,040 and the death count to 38,418.
Karnataka on Friday reported 28,723 new cases of COVID-19, including 20,121 in Bengaluru, as it recorded the highest number of tests since the beginning of the pandemic at over two lakh.
Bengaluru has been reporting a surge in Covid cases as the positivity rate continued to stay around 10 per cent and 9,020 new cases were reported on Sunday while 12,000 fresh cases were reported in Karnataka
