KCC&I further added that it has decided to call for a state-wide strike in order to draw attention of the government inorder to find a solution and get reduction in the electricity charges.
ESCOMs had initially demanded an increase of 139 paisa per unit, but KERC restricted it to 70 paisa. Out of the 70 paisa increase, 57 paisa will be recovered through Fixed Charges, and the remaining 13 paisa will be recovered as energy charges.
