Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission approves hike in electricity tariffs

ESCOMs had initially demanded an increase of 139 paisa per unit, but KERC restricted it to 70 paisa. Out of the 70 paisa increase, 57 paisa will be recovered through Fixed Charges, and the remaining 13 paisa will be recovered as energy charges.
