The issue of concussion in sport has been ever-present in recent years.
And with the spotlight continuing to shine, codes in New Zealand and Australia are ramping up efforts to improve the identification and management of impact-related head injuries.
Rugby s latest move involves the trial of a Virtual Reality eye-tracking test in the new trans-Tasman competition.
So, how exactly might VR provide the next step forward in concussion management?

Emilitsa, the go-to spot in Portland for sophisticated Greek food since 2008, closed after the holidays because of the pandemic. The owners left an outgoing phone message making a vague promise that they would return to 547 Congress St. sometime in late spring. Then, crickets. Emilitsa’s social media hasn’t been updated in months, and that same farewell phone message is all you’ll get if you call the restaurant.
Well, I have mixed news for anxious Emilitsa fans. The good news is that brothers John and Demos Regas do, indeed, plan on reopening. The bad news is, you’ll have to wait until late summer, maybe longer.
Taco Trio moving to Big Babe’s Tavern space
The owners of the popular South Portland restaurant have bought the Big Babe s building at Ocean and C streets.

Taco Trio in South Portland is moving just down the street into the building that now houses Big Babe’s Tavern, a music venue, bar and restaurant that is looking for a new location in South Portland.
Karen Rasmussen, who owns Taco Trio with Manny Pena, said they had “grand plans” to renovate their 24-seat restaurant at 119 Ocean St., but “it just became a nightmare of costs and issues.”
