criminal. protesters hit the streets of haiti s capital city demanding more help from the government. they say they re desperate, living in deplorable conditions following january s devastating earthquake there. many claim they have received no financial aid or government help to recover. crews are rushing to clean up an 800,000-gallon oil spill in southern michigan. the oil poured into a creek and then flowed into the kalamazoo river. michigan s governor toured the spill. she calls for more resources to be devoted to the cleanup. so far, about 20 homes have been evacuated. and in the gulf of mexico, it has now been 100 days since the historic oil spill there began. this morning s washington post reports that several u.s. government agencies are now preparing a criminal probe of at least three companies involved in the spill. bp, transocean, and halliburton are the initial targets. investigators are looking into the relationship between the companies and the federal a
