The only way that the teacher prep programs are going to fill urgency about changing anything is the people who are taking a graduate insist on what they need. As long as we take High School Math teachers who are poorly trained and is so long as we take folks who dont know how to, it is hard to actually generate the leverage internally to fundamentally change what they do.
