The borders will remain sealed from July 24 to August 6.   |  Photo Credit: PTI Key Highlights The decision has been taken by the authorities to prevent the further spread of coronavirus Haridwar: According to a recent development, the Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar will be sealed to Kanwariyas from July 24 to August 6. The decision has been taken by the administration after the Kanwar Yatra was cancelled this year due to COVID-19. The order comes after an Inter-State Border Meeting attended by officials from Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Punjab, Delhi and Haryana.

Share Via Email   |  A+A A- By PTI NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Monday refused to entertain a plea challenging denial of permission by the Maharashtra government on the ground of COVID-19 situation to hold annual pilgrimage by warkaris of Sant Namdev Maharaj Sansthan and other organisations to Lord Vitthal temple at Pandharpur in the state. As per practice, pilgrims called as warkaris , along with over 250 Palki undertake the pilgrimage by foot from their respective natives places to the Lord Vitthal temple at Pandharpur.
