Focus to make sure theres a smooth security handover to the Afghan Government when nato forces leave afghanistan next year. Its still unclear how many u. S. Troops will remain to Train Afghan Security forces and focus on counterterrorism. Chris lawrence outlines the proposals for the transition. Reporter the options are on the table. At the low end, a little more than 6,000 troops, mostly special Operations Forces hunting terrorists with a small amount of training for afghan forces.
