Hyderabad, March 8 : Dr. Kolluri Chiranjeevi, one of the first activists of separate Telangana movement, passed away at a private hospital here on Monday following a brief illness. He was 74.
Convenor of the 1969 Telangana Movement Founders Forum, Kolluri Chiraneevi was admitted to the hospital a few days ago with respiratory problems.
As the family was facing difficulties in meeting the expenses for his treatment, the Telangana government on February 27 sanctioned Rs 10 lakh from the Chief Minister s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Officials from Warangal, who did not want to be identified, said that 35 passengers had returned from the UK. Out of these 35, four are staying in Hyderabad, and one returned to the UK on December 20.
“There are 31 people staying in Warangal (Urban). Out of this, 28 tested negative. Results of three samples are awaited and they have been sent to Kakatiya Medical College. The three persons are in quarantine at home. If their samples test positive, they will be sent to MGM Hospital for quarantine,” a source said.
There are another 16 travellers from the UK who are from Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Sircilla and Mancherial whose samples were referred to Hyderabad for testing.

98% of youth are not aligned with any party, Union Minister tells BJP leadership
Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy on Friday asked BJP leadership to target enrolment of youth as 98% of them are not aligned with any party.
Addressing a meeting of party workers in Warangal, Mr. Reddy said only 2% of youth had party affiliations but the rest were unemployed or doing petty businesses or odd jobs. “It is this section that the BJP should target for enrolment as party members”. This will go a long way in ensuring BJP wrestd power in the State in 2023 general elections.
