Nepal [Kathmandu], February 10 (ANI): Rival faction of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal will hold a mass rally on Wednesday in Kathmandu against Nepal s caretaker Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli s decision of Parliament dissolution.
According to Khabarhub, the disgruntled faction will take out rallies against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) from five different places prior to converging into a mass meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the spokesperson of the NCP, said the rallies will be taken out from Pulchowk, Tripureshwor, Maitighar Mandala, Kaiser Mahal, and Jamal and a huge mass assembly will be held at Bhrikuti Mandap, Khabarhub reported.

Kathmandu, Feb 7 (PTI) Nepal s Supreme Court on Sunday issued a show-cause notice in response to a writ petition filed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota against the recent appointments made by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at various constitutional commissions.
A single bench of Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana issued the notice in the name of defendants - President Bhandari, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, the office of the Constitutional Council, and chairman of the National Assembly, the Kathmandu Post newspaper reported.

Normal life was paralysed across Nepal on Thursday during a nation-wide general strike called by the Nepal Communist Party s splinter faction-led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to oppose the appointment of office bearers and members of various constitutional bodies by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led caretaker government.
Major markets, educational institutions, offices and factories were shut down while transport services were disrupted during the strike.
