This comes after Bung announced on Tuesday (Jan 5) that the controversial Papar dam may be going back to the Penampang district.
Bung said he had been informed that if the dam was built in Papar, the water supply sustainability was only for 60 years, while in Penampang, the supply would last up to 85 years. Our stand has always been consistent, that is, Moyog cannot continuously be making the sacrifices for others by allowing the second mega dam to be built in Penampang s largest green lung, ” said Siambun, who is former Moyog assemblyman.

Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government will implement the Kota Kinabalu Water Supply Phase 3 project to replace both the controversial Papar and Kaiduan Dam projects.

(pic) said it is part of the Ministry’s efforts to solve water problems not only in rural, but also urban areas.
“With the implementation (of this project), the Ministry believes water problems in Papar and Kota Kinabalu will be resolved,” he said during question time at the State Assembly sitting, Tuesday.
He was responding to a question by Usukan Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Tun Said Keruak.
