LANCASTER - More than 1,000 photos from the historical Boys Industrial School have recently been made public and can be accessed via the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
According to the Fairfield County Heritage Association, the process in scanning and archiving materials from B.I.S. was made possible via grant funding from the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board (OHRAB), which was awarded in mid-2019.
Former records manager Kady Wolfe started the process archiving materials, while current office manager Debbie Henry picked up the project after Wolfe moved on to another job, according to the FCHA. Marketing Director Mary Lawrence and Executive Director Tammy Drobina assisted in the process.
