Writ petition filed seeking HC order to ban broadcast of Al Jazeera in Bangladesh Star Digital Report Star Digital Report
A Supreme Court lawyer today filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking its directive on the government to ban broadcast of Al Jazeera Television in Bangladesh.
The Qatar-based news channel broadcasted the documentary titled All the Prime Minister s Men on February 2.
Lawyer Md Anamul Kabir Emon submitted the petition as a public interest litigation to the HC today also requesting the HC to order the government to remove the contents of the report aired by Al Jazeera from all social media including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
