Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the first phase of the ₹ 339 crore Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project that connects the temple town's two iconic landmarks - Kashi Vishwanath temple and Ganga ghats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Varanasi received a rousing welcome from the people in his Lok Sabha constituency as they showered flower petals and chanted slogans of Modi, Modi and Har Har Mahadev .
The stage was set for the inauguration of the first phase of the ambitious Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project on Monday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi arriving here. Modi also took part in a 'cruise baithak' and enjoyed watching fireworks and festivities to be hosted at ghats of the ancient city.
In a speech at the inauguration of the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invoked Mahadev Lord Shiv on Monday.
The prime minister said there is only one government in Kashi and it is of Lord Shiv. Modi said, “Nothing happens without Shiv's blessings.”
