Zamboanga Peninsula map ZAMBOANGA CITY - Units under the Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) have arrested seven drug suspects and seized some PHP1.4 million worth of illegal drugs in separate operations over the past week here in the Zamboanga Peninsula. The latest drug haul happened Friday in Sitio Aticlan, Barangay Arena Blanco, here. Col. Richard Verseles, operations chief of the Area Police Command-Western Mindanao (APC-WM), said suspect Nasser Alih was arrested in possession of some 100 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP680,000 around 1:50 p.m. Friday by the Special Operations Unit-9 in Sitio Aticlan. Also seized from Alih were a cellular phone and PHP500 bill placed on top of a bundle of boodle money. Another suspect, Almudzrin Atalad, 40, was arrested by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-9 (RDEU-9) in a buy-bust operation around 11:04 a.m. Thursday in Barangay Baliwasan, also in this city.
