SU election sees new members of Treasury, Senate, ArtSci Council; new SU leadership chosen in internal elections

After the fall 2023 Student Union (SU) election, new members were elected to Senate, Treasury, and the Arts & Sciences Council, and two constitutional amendments were passed, Nov. 16. The election had the lowest voter turnout since spring of 2022, and among those elected is an ArtSci Council President with a history of opposing the existence of SU.

Student Union Treasury debates additional funding for Swing Theory dance lessons

Student Union (SU) Treasury heard appeals from student groups totalling $17,745.49, deciding to allocate $9,123.41 and tabling an appeal from Washington University’s swing dance club continued discussion next week, on Nov. 7. To date, the total amount allocated by Treasury this semester is $198,073.96.

SU Treasury funds on-campus events and club travel

Treasury representatives in Student Union (SU) heard appeals from six clubs and allocated $18,866.03 in funding for sports teams to travel and clubs to host on-campus events, bringing the total amount of money allocated this semester to $34,685.53.
