The Bar Council of India (BCI) on Wednesday moved the Delhi High Court against a single-judge Bench's order permitting a South Korean national to enrol as an advocate in India.On May 30, Justice Yashwant Varma had allowed Daeyoung Jung's plea .
The bench was hearing the bar body’s plea against a May 30 order passed by Justice Yashwant Verma allowing a Korean national who had graduated from an Indian law university in 2016 to enrol as an advocate in India.
Justice Yashwant Varma said the approval of the resolution plan has resulted in the extinguishment of all claims that IOC may have had, thus the dispute now sought to be “canvassed cannot be permitted to be urged again before the AT.”
