New Delhi [India], January 29 (ANI): Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to the Centre on a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking direction to the Centre to fill the pending vacancies at Appellate Tribunal, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in New Delhi expeditiously.
A Bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan seeks response from the Centre within four weeks.
The plea was filed by Advocate Amit Sahni who said that the government has failed to take adequate and appropriate steps on the filling of vacant posts in the tribunal.

The Supreme Court on Friday asked the government to respond to a petition seeking reasons for the delay in appointment of chairman and members to the Appellate Tribunal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
A Bench led by Chief Justice of India Sharad A Bobde gave the government four weeks to reply to the petition filed by Amit Sahni, who said the appointments to the tribunal should be made on a priority basis.
