Justice Deshmukh noted that the petitioner failed to produce any statistical data to demonstrate that unreasonable adjournments were granted by the family court.
The Court observed that imposing a time period of one month would be very unreasonable considering there were only seven family court judges and they were doing their best to ensure matters are disposed of.
The court held that "prima facie a safe inference can be drawn that the police machinery is protecting the accused persons (of Karam Infrastructure Pvt Ltd) for reasons best known to them.”
