Addressing a gathering at the 73rd anniversary of the Supreme Court of India, Chief Justice of Singapore Supreme Court Sundaresh Menon highlighted various global challenges that the world's judiciary may be facing or may face in future.
Maintaining that a properly functional judiciary acted as the glue to hold different parts of the system together, Chief Justice of Singapore Sundaresh Menon on Saturday cautioned against the failure of judiciary, saying it would result in the breakdown of rule of law.
Menon was delivering the first annual lecture on the topic The Role of the Judiciary in a Changing World on the occasion of the foundation day of the Supreme Court of India.
