The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed an appeal against a Plateau High Court decision that discharged and acquitted Senator Jonah Jang and Yusuf Pam of corruption charges totaling N6.3billion. This was disclosed by the agency's spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, on Friday. He said, “The Commission has initiated processes for an Appeal immediately” in a statement seen on the anti-graft body’s official Twitter page. SaharaReporters earlier reported that Jang had been exonerated of the N6.3 billion in corruption charges that the EFCC brought against him.
