officials. i met a guy and clearly the u.s. intelligence community felt necessary to unmask me and leak it to the media but if the media and the obsession on the trump/russia collusion, they are kind of jumping the shark if they think i had something to do with that. this occurred in january long after the election. there s either this trump grand collusion plan or not. they asked me to go meet with russian which no one did. i happened to be there and met a russian. who did you meet? some fund manager. i can t even remember his name. a fund manager but you don t remember his name? i don t remember his name. we didn t exchange cards. how long was it? the meeting, do you remember? as long as one beer. so it was a casual setting? absolutely. over beers. okay. let me just say why this meeting
hours of questioning for carter page. that seems pretty thorough. what s extraordinary to me, ten hours of questioning and he did it without a lawyer. i wouldn t even instruct my child to sit down with the school principal for an hour. what does it tell you about carter page in this investigation? i would say that carter page is a brave and probably foolish man for having done that. ten hours is a lot of questioning. and with all the information that we re now getting about loans to trump and to jared, the involvement of russian banks as well as deutsche bank, everybody needs to be very careful and we need to be following the money. i think we re going to be seeing more and more financial crime investigation going on. are we jumping the shark? if it s a foolish decision for carter page to do this without a lawyer, let s turn to jared kushner, president trump s son-in-law. he s hired a well-known criminal
have stories that, again, no sources, even the trump white house has meetings and says, we want this off the record. stories about reince priebus asking the fbi, hey, can you knock down these stories about russia and intelligence? juan jumping the shark again. [laughs] bottom line, obviously a good day. the president also got the crowd going when he mentioned obamacare and what he is going to do to fix the disaster that he inherited. here that next. and later, a big huge big-league announcement coming your way. post your questions on facebook.com/thefivefnc. i should take a closer look at geico. you know, geico can help you save money on your homeowners insurance too? great! geico can help insure our mountain chalet! how long have we been sawing this log?
jonathan martin of the new york times, manu raju for cnn and julie pace of the associated press. he loves him. they re friends. it s essentially a version of that s a nice citizens you got there. shame if somebody keeps bringing it up over and over again. trump did four minutes on this in clear lake, iowa last night. clearly donald trump sees movement in iowa. he s seen polls that show him behind cruz. this is the brilliance of trump. he set the agenda for a week. cruz has been on the defensive for a week. he talked about how he was making a joke about it. i posted on twitter about jumping the shark. he found himself having to release his mother s birth certificate. it s not going away. it s sinking in the question. it remains whether trump, i think, will go after him in the debate on thursday night. that s a big open question.
citizenship question. it started earlier about trump talking about being from cuba. and saying what kind of evangelical is from cuba, whatever that means. he s been saying that at rallies in talking points in the last couple of weeks. he s been attacking cruz in the ways that some other evangelicals are. and reis reminding everyone that he was born in canada. i was surprised by mccain giving this a little life. it is true that there s some doubt about the constitutional question because the supreme court has never had had a case where they ve had to weigh in on this. most constitutional scholars think that cruz is correct on this, that he is a natural born citizen. and cruz, maggie, has taken a sort of lighthearted approach to this, thus far, he sent out a tweet, showed fonzie jumping the shark, does he need to tick a different approach now? i thought where he ended up in the interview with dana was
