University of californias enrollment policies have been unfairly favoring outofstate students who pay higher tuition than california residents. Reporter ken, one of the spokespeople for that office of the president said they disagree with the auditor report. They say yes, outofstate enrollment has increased from 5 up to 15 in recent years but they say the audit does not take into account some of the benefits that california residents received. The university of california system had about 252,000 students last year at its 10 campuses but the state auditors report is criticizing who gets admitted and who doesnt. University of california made Financial Decisions and some admissions decisions that were disadvantageous to california residents.
