A Monroe Public Schools construction trades instructor recently has been named to a local homebuilding board.  Tom Bell, who launched the renowned Trojan Build projects for Monroe High School students, was appointed to the Home Builders Association of Monroe Board of Directors. He s the only construction trades teacher to have been named to an HBA board in the State of Michigan, with the appointment expected to lead toward increased collaboration and opportunities with young people, according to HBA President David Swartout.  “The HBA has been very involved in Monroe High School’s construction trades program,” Swartout said. “Inviting Tom to be part of the board was a natural next step. Tom will be an integral part of HBA going forward.
