that incident triggered a lockdown and in a flurry of police activity there today. it was a sight you don t expect to see on the grounds of the national cathedral. active shooter alert. police with guns deployed around the building. the schools put on lockdown. gun-sniffing dogs on patrol. a student led away in handcuffs. it happened around 8:00 this morning. sources say a parent saw a stun holding thing gun near the st. lbans school. a 911 call for help brought cops from all over to the cathedral campus. about 8:09 this morning, metropolitan police officers were dispatched for a call of a man with a gun on the campus of st. albans. officers responded and were not able to locate person at the time. subsequent canvas resulted in the discovery of what was believed to be a long gun in the back of a vehicle on the campus. reporter: it took a couple of hours to secure the scene. school officials say that the weapon was a bee begun that was located in the back of this jeep. p
