A few days before the deadly attack police say spyres attacked a person right here in Friendship Heights just a block from the dc maryland line. Police caught him a few minutes late err just down the street. They charged him with that crime as well as hitting the officers who arrested him. Prosecutorss ended up charging with a lesser crime. Police also located the knife. Now spyres attorney asked to release the client but the judge pointed out that he was on release from an earlier incident where he attacked another person just days earlier. While we were down here at the courthouse right across the street i happened upon an incident where a baby was abandoned on the street and police were responding. A quiet suburban neighborhood turns into a crime scene after an unsupervised house party leads to a burglary, then a deadly stabbing. This happened in odin ton maryland, around 3 00 friday morning. Police tell us a 16yearold held a party at his home hours after it broke up. He heard someone in his house. Police say he confronted two men and ended up stabbing one. Right now there havent been any charges placed on the 16yearold and at the same time, the States Attorneys Office is still reviewing the case. Teen Allen Johnson faces burglary and assault charges. They want police to release 16 fellow protesters arrested for protesting this morning taken out of the building in plastic handcuffs hours ago. Police broke up an allnight sitin and charged the folks with trespassing as we said. They were part of a large group that disrupted a hearing about hiring a Permanent Police commissioner. Those protesters opposed a preliminary vote to keep kevin davis on the job and they want a say in the selection process. Thanks, molette. Developing right now, an announcement any moment about u. S. Troops in afghanistan. President obama is expected to say he plans to keep troops at current levels next year and 5,500 troops in 2017.
