(ABC 6 News) - An Austin FFA student has earned a prestigious award.
Braden Greibrok was given the Star in Agriscience Research award by the Minnesota State FFA. It’s an honor that can’t be earned overnight.
“Students like Braden have put in effort over time. His name wasn’t pulled out of a hat, this isn’t something he could earn by practicing really hard for one season. It’s year after year after year,” said Minnesota FFA Executive Director Juleah Tolosky. “It’s really significant award, probably the most prestigious award that our state can give to a student and so we really wanted to be here to make it worth it for Braden.”
Minnesota FFA s 92nd state convention will be held virtually on April 19-23.

The theme for the 92nd annual Minnesota FFA Convention is Worth It.
This year’s convention will be a mix of virtual sessions, statewide recognition, interactive state competition finals and workshops, as well as in-person convention-in-the-classroom activities, according to a press release for the event.
“When I focus on our theme Worth It, I think of the little things that happen in everyday life. I think this whole year has been focusing on those smaller things we ve often taken for granted, and it matters that we recognize that even those less celebrated moments have worth,” said Ben Olander, Minnesota FFA state president.
