JOHANNESBURG - Two Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) executives are facing disciplinary hearings following the conclusion of some parts of a Special Investigating Unit (SIU) probe.
The SIU was commissioned to look into irregular payments made during the processing of the temporary employer-employee relief scheme funds (TERS).

The officials were suspended nine months ago after the Auditor-General probed the COVID-19 TERS scheme and found that there were irregularities with payments due to lapses in verification systems.

Johannesburg - Two senior UIF officials - the CFO and COO - who were suspended along with the entire management team for the alleged misuse of Covid-19 Temporary Employment Relief Scheme (Ters) funds have returned to work at the UIFâs Pretoria head office.
One of them has been cleared of any wrong doing âfor nowâ, while the other is still subject to a disciplinary hearing.
