German Baez has since been charged with three counts of importation of a controlled substance, a class 1 drug felony; three counts of distribution of more than 112 grams of a controlled substance, a class 1 drug felony; four counts of possession of more than 112 grams of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a class 1 drug felony; two counts of possession of less than 50 grams of fentanyl, a class 1 drug felony; three counts of possession of less than 50 grams of fentanyl with intent to distribute, a class 1 drug felony; and distribution of between four and 50 grams of fentanyl, a class 2 drug felony.
On April 3, Loveland Police Department officers responded to a 911 call of a man and woman screaming for help in the 1600 block of East 16th Street, according to a Tuesday release. When officers arrived, they learned two men had allegedly broken into a residence, robbed the three occupants, sprayed them with pepper spray, stabbed one victim in the head and fled the scene; the victim was later treated and released and no other injuries were reported.
Gregory Herzog, 72, was booked into the Larimer County Jail on charges included first-degree burglary with a deadly weapon, a class 3 felony; two counts of menacing with a weapon, a class 5 felony; prohibited use of weapons, a class 1 misdemeanor, third-degree assault, a class 1 misdemeanor; DUI, an unclassified misdemeanor; and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, an unclassified misdemeanor.
