A loutish couple whose loud, slurry and sweary drunken antics caused mid-air mayhem on a morning Thomas Cook flight to Tunisia have today been spared jail. Gemma Heap, 35, and Philip Mycock, 38, were questioned by police after fellow holidaymakers complained about their behaviour during a flight from Manchester last July. The couple played childish pranks on other travellers, causing one passenger to switch seats after his hat was swiped from his head by Mycock, Manchester Crown Court heard.   Mycock had tried on the hat and made jokes about it. He was also ordered to sit down by cabin crew after he used the toilet while the seat belt signs were on.

Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard how Sam Brooks, 21, had been friends with Joshua Cross since school and the pair had lived together in Radcliffe. David Farley, prosecuting, said: The defendant had always blamed Mr Cross for losing his Playstation which went missing when they moved to Castlecroft House in Bury. Resentment grew between the pair with Brooks telling Mr Cross he would knock him out unless he paid him £200. At a party on New Year s Eve 2018, Mr Cross paid the defendant £60, but Brooks ended up chasing him and allegedly assaulted him.
