CMT Awards Lineup to Include Mickey Guyton/Gladys Knight and Maren Morris/JP Saxe Duets

The first round of performers announced for the 2021 CMT Music Awards is heavy on duets, as the telecast will include numbers uniting Mickey Guyton with Gladys Knight, Maren Morris with JP Saxe and Brothers Osborne with Dierks Bentley.
Also unveiled Wednesday as landing performance slots on the June 9 show were country superstars Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton. An appearance by the Texas trio of Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, who just released the trio project “The Marfa Tapes,” is also on the books.
JP, who co-wrote two songs on the new album.
Julia opened up about the type of relationships she was in before her one with
JP. She said, “I was very drawn to drama and toxicity and to a certain way that I thought love was supposed to be. I thought that because I am who I am, I deserved a certain type of love, and I was so wrong.”
“Then you spend every single day with someone for an entire year that is wonderful and loving and communicative and meets you halfway … I got to fall in love in a very weird situation. I’m very grateful,” she added.

The song is off her debut album Not In Chronological Order

A Late Show to showcase her song “All Your Exes,” from her upcoming debut album. For the performance, Michaels appeared with her band as (video) flames surrounded the group.
Michaels’ album,
Not In Chronological Order, is set to drop Friday, April 30th via Republic Records. The album follows the singer’s three EPs, including 2020’s
Hold It Together EP, and numerous singles.

“I made this album all throughout last year with a handful of people that understood where I was and where I was going with this album,” Michaels wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone involved and thank you to everyone that hears it for taking a chance on it. I hope it resonates with some part of you and that you don’t hate it too much lol.”
