Breaking Wave accepts works on mental health, substance abuse

Pacific Daily News View Comments The Breaking Wave Theatre Company is accepting original works for their annual production of Unspoken, a series that explore mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention, according to a news release.  The 2021 production Unspoken; Volume III - Reaching Across will be presented in September, which coincides with Suicide Prevention Month. “With mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention, there are so many ways to discuss and process these conversations,” said Joyce Torres, director for Unspoken. “We hope that the series can explore and express these topics in a way that is illuminating, empathetic, and ultimately healing.”

Inetnon Gefpå’go marks 20 years, works to survive pandemic Staff Reports Inetnon Gefpå’go has spent 20 years promoting Guam s arts and culture and is making sure the program continues to educate, perpetuate and promote it through the performing arts. As part of its 20th anniversary commemoration, the award-winning group and Independent Guåhan had a special virtual reunion and YouTube premiere of the 2010 theatrical production, Guåhan: Fanhasso, Fanhita, Fanacho. Inetnon Gefpå’go also began production of its new eight part “Minagof Minute” series in partnership with Humanities Guåhan. The first episode is streaming on instagram’s IGTV platform,m according to a news release.
