After Yale police arrested 48 pro-Palestine student protesters on Monday morning, several of the University’s cultural groups released statements condemning the University’s response and expressing support for the students involved in the protests.
As calls to end legacy preference in admissions intensify, some students told the News that Yale should terminate or scale back the practice, while others expressed enthusiasm for a governmental ban.
Officials from the Peabody Museum, which opened on March 26, said they remain committed to “culturally responsive collection stewardship” in light of new federal regulations that aim to strengthen the 1990 Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
