Vaughn man allegedly fires gun in a home, endangering small children

Christopher Lance Amato, 37, is in the Cascade County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. The following information comes directly from court documents. The defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty. According to charging documents, CCSO responded to a residence in Vaughn on May 23 for a report of a male firing a gun in the home. On his way to the scene, the responding deputy learned that Amato’s common-law spouse, his ex-girlfriend and three children (ages 9, 10 and 17) were at the home when the alleged shooting occurred.
