BEDFORD – After pressing the ‘pause’ button for 19 days, Bedford North Lawrence hit ‘play’ and expected a glitch. Didn’t happen, didn’t miss a beat. In fact, the Stars didn’t miss a shot during a video-game burst they might want to put on a loop playback.
BNL opened the third quarter by hitting 8 consecutive shots, blasting to a 19-point lead on the way to a 67-58 victory over Scottsburg in the opening game of the Danny Bush Classic on Wednesday morning.

COLUMBUS – Contrary to recent evidence and popular belief, Bedford North Lawrence can score. Contrary to his frustrating start, Kooper Staley can still shoot.
Forget all the negative from the first two losses. Staley and the Stars were super-charged on the positive post, winning their Hoosier Hills Conference opener with an offensive burst and a tough-minded conclusion to a 68-66 road victory over Columbus East on Friday night.

BEDFORD – The most stated phrase in this never-ending virus period has been “We’ve never done this before.” And that, unfortunately, is exactly correct. There is no precedent.
So when Bedford North Lawerence senior Jackson Miracle, as astute as he is tall, mentioned “We’ve never had a Senior Night like this before” as the six upperclassmen in the program prepare for their honor night, he is exactly correct. This is yet another new adjustment.
BNL, moving the senior festivities far forward from its normal slot during the final home game, will celebrate the careers of Miracle, Ben Cosner, Kooper Staley, Aden Pemberton, Josh Blunk and Austin Messmore on Saturday night when the Stars host Madison.
