Havreite among individuals, organizations honored for efforts to support Montana children and families
Press release Foster parents, child protection workers, youth and non-profit organizations including Rhianna Rose Albert of Havre were honored Tuesday during a virtual awards ceremony as part of the annual Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect Conference sponsored by the Department of Public Health and Human Services. Albert received the Youth Achievement of the Year, which goes to foster or adoptive youths who exhibit a drive to be successful and make positive changes in their life. Nikey Gregg, Lolo, and Halie Yeager, Kalispell, also received the award. DPHHS and Montana Children’s Trust.

BILLINGS â All Billings School District 2 students and teachers will head back to the in person classroom for the 2021-22 school year on August 23, Superintendent Greg Upham announced at a school board meeting Monday night. I think we all have to begin to live as normal as we possibly can. As we set the framework for schools for (School District 2) for 2021-22, if the virus will allow us to, we are going to start as normal as possible and operate as normal as possible, Upham said.
BILLINGS - During School District Two s board meeting Monday, board members unanimously voted to extend Superintendent Greg Upham s contract through the school year of 2024.
Along with Upham, the board members reflected on the past year, pointing out the numerous challenges educators faced. The board then discussed Upham s performance review, where he received 37 distinguished marks and eight proficient. I think you should be proud of every comment that is in here. They are all definitely positive. I hope you choose to engage the trustees about their comments to the degree that you re constantly looking for additional insights and critiques from which you can improve, because there is always room for improvement, Vice Chair Joseph Raffiani said.
