now let s go back to the desk. the search is on for a robbery suspect that created a dangerous situation for many last minute christmas shoppers. tara moriarty is live in san jose with the details. reporter: good morning. this is one of busiest shopping times of the whole year. a man hid a rifle inside his trench coach terrorized shoppers and then robbed a store. it started around 5:20 last night. police say they were very lucky no one was hurt. he tried to rob a clerk. he tried to carjack a woman in the parking spot. he left without stealing a car then ran into a men s warehouse and tux and held up the clerk at gunpoint. after making off with cash he raced over to seasal street where he carjacked someone. they describe it as a white nissan at ma altima. its did not create a lot of panic at the time. we will be talking to shoppers about thaw how they feel about it. we do notice that security has been patrolling the grounds especially inside the parking garages this morn
