They say the fires were likely a report result of flares left behind by caltrans maintenance workers. Now, caltrans engineers spent the day investigating those mysterious fires after a blaze broke out this afternoon. That fire occurred on the very same spot on the bridge where flames erupt edmond night. A driver captured that fire and posted a photo on twitter. After reviewing bridge Surveillance Video today and finding flare remnants at the fire scene, caltrans now feels pretty confident they know the cause.
