Also broke another record with more than 67,000 hospitalizations. And california has become the second state to surpass 1 million total cases. Texas hit that mark earlier this week. In americas Third Largest city of chicago, mayor Lori Lightfoot has issued a new stayathome advisory. People are asked to stay home for the next 30 days. That includes the thanksgiving holiday. And while this is tough, of course this whole year has been tough, we must tell you, you must cancel the normal thanksgiving plans. That stayathome advisory begins monday. Others are returning back to some more strict restrictions. Health Officials Say we are very likely now seeing the beginning of a winter surge. As california joined texas as the first states with 1 million covid cases, bay area counties are tightening restrictions. The owner of delta ball decided to shut down. He says it is tough when elsewhere in the country policies allow bowling. The policies that the state is using for bowling are just way too restrictive.
