The city was teeming with tourists. Its my understanding people have streamed in to witness this moment. Thats right. Its very natural at this time because we have preparatory meetings so people were ready. Ive met people here just making a regular pilgrimage and students just here by coincidence but everybodys in the square now. Shepard the biggest difference between this time and the last time is there was no period of mourning. No one has died. On top of that, the last time people of poland descended upon this place. They slept bit thousands in the streeted. It was inspiring, the reverence, the calm the respect. This has been a completely different scene building towards something that no one had ever experienced. It was very unexpected that the pope would resign.
