There was an active fire burning inside the attic. A lot of material stored throughout the house according to fire officials. Someone just passing by reported the fire at about 10 30 last night. When novato firefighters arrived on the scene the home was engulfed in flames and smoke. They werent sure if the elderly woman who lived alone was home but the neighbors confirmed she had returned home from shopping earlier in the
