While this morning a potentially paralyzing blizzard is taking aim at the northeast, hundreds of flights have already been canceled for tuesday. Heres why. A blizzard watch is posted for coastal regions including new york city and long island where up to a foot and a half of snow is possible. Part of the storm is moving in from the plains. Out who conditions plagued south dakota. In minnesota travel was treacherous. Plows had a hard team keeping up with relentless snow. Road crews are lined up and ready to go, but its not just the snow people will have to deal with. The forecast also calls for powerful wind. Meteorologist Pamela Gardner of our boston station wbz is tracking the storm. Major storm across the northeast monday and tuesday, but first we have one area of low pressure that were tracking across the upper plains and the great lakes where we could see several inches of snowfall. Jump to conclusions about this violent arrest. Reporter this dramatic cell phone video shows the Vallejo Police officer struggling with the man as he tried to take him into custody. The officer is thing punching the man in the head, striking him several times with either a baton or flashlight. The crowd is gathering around and some questioning the officers use of force. Reporter at one point the original arresting officer pulls out his gun and pointed in the direction of the onlookers before he reholsters his weapon, and this controversial arrest played out in the middle of the fairgrounds drive near the valero gas station friday afternoon, and two clerks called 911 because the man was threatening them, and he became irate after his credit card was declined. His actions is what made me feel very uncomfortable. His eyes were as big as golf balls, and his mannerisms that he was using, and putting up Three Fingers like he was trying to make something rise from the ground like a magician.
