A late-spring snow will move across the region overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning, while subfreezing temperatures are expected early Wednesday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, as a rain/snow mix is expected to start around midnight Monday night and transition to all snow by 1 or 2 a.m. Tuesday.
“That’ll continue well into the morning hours,” National Weather Service Pleasant Hill meteorologist Jonathan Kurtz said. “It’ll probably taper off through 8 or 9 a.m. (Tuesday) with some lingering rain/snow mix through noon across the area.”
Kurtz says most models indicate between 1-3 inches of snow by noon Tuesday, with most accumulation happening on grassy or elevated surfaces.
