Phil Guerini Joins Jonas Group Entertainment As CEO

Former DISNEY CHANNELS WORLDWIDE VP, Music Strategy and RADIO DISNEY NETWORK GM PHIL GUERINI joins JONAS GROUP ENTERTAINMENT as CEO, effective immediately. He is based in NASHVILLE.
Prior to DISNEY, GUERINI launched his career as a staff writer for the MIAMI HERALD, followed by radio jobs in MIAMI and ATLANTA. On the record side, he has worked at MCA, A&M, CHRYSALIS and EAST WEST RECORDS.

I’m going to suggest that 2021 is the year when a 21-year-old Nashville artist named Lanie Gardner breaks out and hits the big time.
Her stunning cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” attracted more than nine million views on YouTube since being posted in early October and more than 40 million views across a variety of social-media platforms.

Hot Thoughts. The band’s entire repertoire will now be represented by Matador, with some rights coming into effect at the end of their contractual period. Subsequent releases, including a new album next year, will be represented by Matador worldwide.
Sony Music Masterworks has made a strategic investment in
Seaview, the theater production company led by Tony Award-winning producer and entrepreneur
Greg Nobile.
Under the agreement, Masterworks has acquired a 50% ownership position in Seaview, with which it will collaborate on developing several new theatrical productions. It will additionally support Seaview in launching new film, television and podcasting verticals in 2021.
