North Texas counties making changes to help elderly, at-risk communities with COVID-19 vaccine registration issues

Texas Health Resources new vaccination sites in Tarrant County are pulling names from the county s waitlist.  As of Tuesday evening, UT Southwestern and Parkland were pulling from their own patient rolls and sign-ups, while Dallas County s hub was using its online waitlist.  “We’re just going to have to reach out to the community and get everybody informed,” said Tarrant County Health Director Dr. Vinny Taneja. Taneja said it’s not just knowledge but technology that’s a problem for many. “A lot of people are either they don’t have the access to go online or when they get online, they get confused,” he said.

which wi williams. pete, what more can you tell us this morning? reporter: let s start right there with the last two of your bullet points, the fact he was on a so-called terror watch list in the uk, that is correct but what uk authorities say is that he was put on that list not because it had anything to do with terrorism but because they believe he tried to get a visa to re-enter the uk by claiming he was going to a school or to take a course that didn t exist and they thought he was trying to scam the immigration system to get in under false pretenses and then try to get a job. so the fact that the uk had him on a no entry list had nothing to do, they say now, with terrorism. but as for the fact that his family told the u.s. that they were concerned about him, thought he might be becoming radicalized, might attempt a suicide attack, that is one of the big questions being reviewed by the department of homeland security because that information did make it into a u.s. data
